Sunny skies greeted the racers on March 16th when Spring # 2 got started and when the green flag dropped Eliza Stephens took to the front of the kid kart field and raced to the checkered for her second win of the new year. A large Jr. 1 class promised for some fast close racing and they did not disappoint the crowd when Seth Blake and Jacob Symank rubbed and exchanged the lead on the final two laps with Symank coming out on top for his first win this season in his Yamaha, Symank also finished first in his TaG Gazelle ahead of quickly improving Derek Scott. Senior 100cc had another large field of karts with 11 drivers and did not disappoint with Erin Sims getting her first win of the season and James Ellenberger getting the second spot. Chuck Fallace grabbed the third spot. The next race is March 30 @ 2: 00p.m.. |

The 2008 season kicked off this weekend Sunday March 02, with a big success. Thirty karts came to run in front of a packed pit area and a very large spectator area. Windy, (very windy), cloudy and a threat of rain didn’t stop the action as racing was hot in all classes. The 100 cc senior class was large as new racers took to the 100cc for this season. Rusty Mitchell took the top spot. The junior class had a three way race for the top spot and wasn’t decided until the last turn when Seth Blake came out the winner, followed by Chris Lindsey close behind. Alan Nicholson took the TaG Cadet class. Eliza Stephens took the first place spot in the kid karts The new unlimited class started with Toby McCarver took the first place with his 125 Sonik. The next race is Sunday March 16, @ 2:00. |

H.O.T. K.C. held a free test and tune day Sunday, February 17 and was well attended, with many new drivers taking advantage of the great weather. Drivers came and went throughout the day. The track is in good shape and is ready for the season opener March 2nd. First race @ 2:00 p.m. |

Added for 2008: We will be running a UNLIMITED class for the 2008 season. It will be open to any engine 125 cc or greater. Open tire rule , and open fuel. Weight for this class will be 360 lbs. Chassis rule is full size adult class. |
